This past week Jackson got to try rice cereal. He loved it and did very well eating from a spoon. He opens his mouth like a baby bird and squeals with delight! Our baby is getting so big! These milestones are so exciting for all three of us......Yumo!

Story Time
Jackson has quite a library of books already (but he can always use more!) Hopefully when he gets a little older we can start a tradition that my parents did with my sister and I. They called it bath, book and bed, obviously its pretty self explanatory. It wasn't until I became a parent that I realize how great your day was if it could end like this!! Here are some pictures from story time from this weekend. I love the one where Jackson is folding his hands. I think he is going to be a good student one day!
12 weeks
On Tuesday Jackson will be 12 weeks! Time has really flown by these past couple months. Especially now that the weather is warming up, we love spending time outside. On Friday Jackson reached another milestone as he rolled over for the first time! I think it scared him but he has done it two other times since Friday.
Backyard Bliss
We are so lucky to live in a beautiful area. We took full advantage of this beautiful weekend. On Saturday we went on a scenic walk at Lake Calaero. The views of the sierra were gorgeous and the water was so serene.
The next day we went with my parents to hike down by the Consumes River. There is only a short window that you can hike down by the river as rattlesnakes run rampant toward the end of the spring. Jackson loves to be outside and prefers being in the Baby Bjorn over the stroller. He is finally big enough to face out, he reminded me of a tandem para shooter with Nic. It amazes me that we don't have to leave the gates to reach any of these places as they are in our backyard. Rancho Murieta is a community filled with great people and has so many places to walk and explore. We are truly blessed to be raising Jackson in such a wonderful place.

On the move....
Bumbo Time!
Jackson's new pal
Goodbye Baby Weight!!
The second picture was taken on Saturday December 13th before Jackson was born (he was born on Tuesday). I gained 18 lbs with Jackson and he weighed 8lbs 2 oz at birth. My mom and I have been going to Weight Watchers every Tuesday since the beginning of the year. Last Tuesday I officially lost all my "baby weight". I am so happy and it was totally easy with the help of weight watchers! I still have some weight to lose especially from the two vacations to Maui and Italy before I got pregnant
Holy Catch-up Batman!!
Wow! I can't believe February is over...... I have been so busy lately I have been neglecting the blog so be prepared for a bunch on catch-up posts! Jackson will be 11 weeks on Tuesday. Jackson had his 2 month check-up on the 16th. He is in the 75% percentile for his height and 25% percentile for his weight. Jackson has some of the Anderson genes (my mom's side of the family) they are all tall and thin. After having some issues with his stool (to be polite!) and just some overall fussiness, we discovered that Jackson is allergic to dairy. Dr. Lloren would like to see him bigger since he was a nice large baby at birth, so we have to supplement him with very expensive formula as I have to cut out all dairy from my diet.....yes ALL dairy! It was tough at first but we have seen a huge improvement in Jackson so the payoff is worth it. I even skipped out on delicious Freeport Bakery Wedding cake at our friends Tim and Julie's wedding reception! We go back to the doctors tomorrow to check Jackson's weight. I will keep everyone posted!!
