Busy Weekend

Last weekend officially marked the start of... Nic & Michelle are busy every weekend until January....no joke kids, no joke!

We went down to Stockton on Friday and spent the night. We had to get up early for the annual 5K Heart Walk that Nic's mom raised over $1000 for the walk . She works for St. Joseph's and they have a HUGE group of people who walk/run. We stopped off and had Dave Wongs. It is my favorite Chinese food and is conveniently located on the way to his parents house. The walk was a lot of fun, we even ran the last mile with Wyly and Linda. Not really the most picturesque walk...through the Waterfront area of Stockton....but still fun :-)

Sunday my friend Jayme got married at the beautiful Vizcaya in downtown Sacramento. The wedding was so beautiful, a little chilly but no rain. She looked amazing and had a gorgeous dress. Jayme and I worked together at Sephora....she is such a great person I am so happy for her and her new husband Eric!!!

Larissa, Jayme and Me!

One quick thing.....they had a photo booth at their wedding...omg so much fun!! Instead of the traditional strips they were 5x7 cards with 4 pictures on them. A super cool favor and a fun thing to do!! Plus you can view all the guests online so you can imagine how great the pictures got by the end of the night, LOL!! We are headed to the beach tomorrow and have another busy weekend planned.....Stay tuned all my blog followers!! XOXO

Italian Festival

A few weekends ago we went to the Rancho Murieta Italian Festival. It was so much fun! There were different wineries, local restaurants doing food demonstrations, a Lemoncello contest, a grape stomping contest and finally a Spaghetti sauce competition! Nic being the awesome cook he is competed in the contest. It was so much fun the week before the contest as we had three "trial runs" of pasta sauce. I think my body is still on carb overload!

Sadly he did not win but gave a great showing and truly makes one of the best sauces I have had...in the US and in Italy!! Next year I think I am going to give it a go and make a Lemoncello for the competition. It was a great day! My cousin Ryan came out with us....he enjoys cooking too! Maybe next year we will have two chefs in the family competing. Ryan (who is 13) thought it was hilarious that people were asking me if he was my son.....thanks....maybe Botox will be in my future sooner than I thought :-) Enjoy!!
