Engagment, Good-bye kelli & Bridal Shower

Hey everyone!! March has been a crazy month......I wanted to catch you up on what we have been doing this month. My cousin Kristi got engaged over Valentines weekend. She even got engaged at the Happiest Place on Earth. Kristi is my older cousin (2 of 2) she's a twin, on my fathers side of the family. We are so happy for her and her fiance Steve is great. They are planning for a April 2011 wedding. Kristi and Steve had a celebration with some friends in Folsom. Sorry the pics a little blurry...that's what happens when you give it to a intoxicated person :-)

Soon to be Mr. & Mrs.

This month we also had to say good-bye to my sister Kelli, who's fancy new Federal Government job sent her to Texas for 7 weeks to train. She will be back a day before my 3oth birthday.......I think I'm hoping it goes slower than she does!! Nic and I threw her a little good-bye party. Complete with name calling and game playing....we had a blast! Although my game room has some ping-pong ball marks on the wall (thanks Mom!) We are so proud of you Kelli! Jackson will miss his Aunt Kiki!! XOXO

My Family.....love them!!

This month also was my first time hosting a bridal shower. Along with my mom and aunts we threw my cousins fiance a shower. Some of you may not know that BOTH of my cousins are getting married this year...actually one in June and one in July. Ok here is the family stuff...ready, set, go.....My mom's sister Diane has two boys. Oldest Jason, youngest Joshua. Jason is marrying Megan on 6/12/10......then Joshua is marrying Danielle on 7/31/10. The shower was for Megan. It was so much fun! Megan is also a twin and I finally got to meet her sister. Megan is going to make a beautiful bride....but most of all she loves my cousin and they are so lucky to have found each other. Best Wishes Jason & Megan!! XOXO

The Little Gym

Nic and I decided to enroll Jackson in a gym type class a few weeks ago. After some research we decided to join THE LITTLE GYM in Folsom. It is an awesome program and we are so happy we can give Jackson this experience. Jackson and I go every Wednesday morning with my good friend Jayme and her daughter Layla. Jayme is also a stay at home mommy and was excited to join the gym. I needed something to break up my week a little and let my little monster...I mean sweetheart burn some energy. Plus Jackson gets to interact with other kiddos his age and gets to listen to someone other than mommy or daddy. The teacher Miss Cindy is GREAT! She is so patient and is great with the kids. Here are some pictures from the 3/17 class....If you want you can check out the website at thelittlegym.com.

ONE year ago.....

I thought it might be fun to look and see what we were doing this time last year. Luckily having all pictures stored digitally made this super easy. This time last year....Jackson was 11 weeks old, starting to smile and lifting his head up and being overall a great baby! Hope you enjoy these......they are so sweet. Have a wonderful Thursday!!

Happy Jack!

Look Mom....I am so strong!

Cute and funny now......so not going to be in a few years :-)

Mr. Giggles

I took this yesterday as Jack was playing with his cheerios like tiddlywinks.......seriously I was laughing so hard! I just love that belly laugh. How cute is this?

I have learned so much from him over the past 14 months....find enjoyment in life's simple pleasures. Enjoy!!

Onesie Pictures

In an idea we borrowed from my idol Martha Stewart.....

We started taking Jackson's picture in a 12 month white onesie, starting with birth. The pictures are going in Pottery Barn Kids First Year Frame. We are so happy we did this...though it did get challenging once he became more mobile. It is something I will cherish forever. Here are they are.......

You brush your teeth.....

Some of you may know the song......go ahead and sing along.....We LOVE Raffi :-)

If you get up in the morning at a quarter to one
and you want to have a little fun,
You brush your teeth ch ch ch ch, ch ch ch ch....

If you get up in the morning at a quarter to two
and you want to find something to do,
You brush your teeth ch ch ch ch, ch ch ch ch....

If you get up in the morning at a quarter to three
and you want to hum a tweedle dee dee,
You brush your teeth ch ch ch ch, ch ch ch ch....

If you get up in the morning at a quarter to four
and you think you hear a knock at the door,
You brush your teeth ch ch ch ch, ch ch ch ch....

If you get up in the morning at a quarter to five
and you just can't wait to come alive,
You brush your teeth ch ch ch ch, ch ch ch ch....

If you listen closely you can here him sing the song.......

Saturday in the park......

I might sound like a broken record but I LOVE where we live. It is so beautiful and waking up here the air just smells different. I love seeing the wild turkeys and deer outside my window...even if the deer love to eat my plants. I love how we can have fun without even leaving the gates. We have parks, trails, lakes and even the river all accessible by walking or golf cart :-) A few weekends ago we took Jackson to the park....not sure if liked it. But memories were made and we took some cute pictures to share with all of you.

These girls thought Jack was quite handsome.

Not really sure about the swing....funny cause that is one of the ONLY places he would sleep when he was an infant :-)

Such a fun daddy....mommy doesn't like heights....ANY heights. I get vertiago looking downstairs at the house.

The goal: One tired Jack-jack :-)

Going to the Chapel...........

Many of you already know that one of my best friends is getting married on October 2nd! I am so excited to be included in this very special day. Can you believe this is my first time being a bridesmaid?? I only been a bride, lol! This last week we went to try on dresses...and we found the ONE! It is the most beautiful wedding dress....I would pick this dress if I were getting married. I just love it. We also picked out the bridesmaid dresses too. They are so pretty. Perhaps one of the best parts is Jackson is going to be Keith and Heidi's RINGBEARER!! I can't wait, he is going to look so handsome. Hopefully he will do a good job. He is going to carry the pillow that Nic and I had at our wedding. Another cool thing is Heidi is going to wear my wedding veil and comb. I love my veil and so happy to see it being worn again. Heidi looked amazing in every dress she tried on. I can't wait to post a picture of her in it. Until then I have heavily cropped a picture of both of us at House of Fashion. As you can see she is going to make a gorgeous bride!

I have nicknamed her "bridi" she is glowing!

Beautiful bridesmaid dresses....next time I put this on...I will be tan and 10 lbs lighter :-)

Return to Blogging....

I am going to try my best to post something new each week....I know....I have been kind of a slacker lately. Rest assured I am going to make it more of a priority as Jackson is growing up way too fast. We have had a lazy winter but are ready for Spring, Sunshine and Swimming!!

So keep checking up on our blog and enjoy the many adventures of the Haviland Family!

Also I am going to put a couple new posts up so check the index on the right side of the page to see all of the new posts!

Yardwork is Hardwork

Last weekend Jackson got to spend Saturday and Sunday outside! Nic and I were doing some yardwork. We lost a lot of our plants from the freezes this winter. We went to Home Depot and purchased some new plants and enjoyed spending time outside in the sunshine. Jackson loved all of Nic's cool gardening tools and even got to hold an earthworm...such a boy! Here are some pics of our hard working weekend!

Gotta love that child labor!
