Pre-Wedding Festivites

We had Kelli & Grants Wedding Rehersal on Thursday May 26th. It was a beautiful day. Hard to believe the difference of this sunny day only to be followed up two days later with a winter like rain storm!!

Grant's parents Gayle & Dennis

Soon to be Mr & Mrs.

And to think I was worried about squinting during the wedding!

Kiki & Jack

The next morning we went to Polished Nail Bar for mani & pedi's followed by lunch at Mikuni's!

At my parents house later that night I gave mini mani's to Nic, Jackson & my dad :)

Burlesque Fun!

One of the things we did for Kelli's Bachelorette was take a Burlesque, Exotic dancing type class and had a blast! I was surprised at how much fun I had!

Our teacher, owner of Vertical Fitness Studios Valerie Rush was awesome! She made everyone feel very comfortable and made class FUN! I bought boa's for all the girls and the studio had a ton of stripper type shoes which we could wear. Actually as high as those shoes were they were quite comfy, lol! I also should mention that I was SO sore the next morning. My arms felt like jello and I had a few bruises on my leg. If you want more info look her up on Facebook or studio location in Roseville.

Channeling our "inner" Pussy Cat Doll :)

How cute is this?! Go Kelli!

Theodore "Teddy" Ruff

On a cold, windy, rainy (crazy I know!) May morning we drove to the airport to pick up our new DOG!!!

So excited!!!!!!!

Tyra would have been proud of my "smizing" lol!

Teddy Ruff came on an airplane all 4lbs of him from Minnesota and we love him so much. He is a Norfolk Terrier and is now tipping the scales at 7lbs and is 5 months old. He is an absolute joy! He came from a loving breeder who worked to socialize as well as potty train him and we couldn't be happier with him! Teddy loves to play with Jackson & Nic or happy to curl up next to me while I am reading. It's a little weird getting a dog that looks so similar to Mya. A few times I have caught a quick glimpse of him and even called him Mya but it makes my heart smile as we loved her so much. Most of the pictures I have are on my cell phone but here are a few more from my camera. Life with Teddy has been much like when I had Jackson....it's hard to remember life pre-Teddy and he just fits so well into our life. Stay tuned for many more adventures of Jackson & Teddy!

Holy Catch Up Batman!

Yikes! My blog is much like my laundry these days....skip a few days and a MOUNTAIN appears before you! I am going to post a bunch of smaller posts so make sure you check the side menu for all the new posts. Highlights from this month include our NEW dog, my birthday, mother's day, my sisters bachelorette and of course her WEDDING!!! May was a busy one but filled with memories that will last a lifetime. Enjoy!!!

Race for the Cure

On Saturday May 7th the three of us participated in the Race for a Cure event. Jackson even got to run like mommy and daddy. They offer a kids race for the little ones...very cute! Both Nic's mom & Grandma Barb are survivors so it was especially touching as they honor every survivor with a medal upon the finish of the race, very cool!!! We are so happy they are both cancer free!!!!! :)

Mr. & Mrs. Hackett

On April 16th my cousin Kristi got married at La Provence in Roseville. The wedding was beautiful & so much fun! Kristi & Steve are such an amazing couple who are truly in love and we were happy to celebrate with them.

That being said, this was Jackson's 2nd time being a ring bearer. I was thrilled when they asked Jackson to be in their wedding, it meant a lot to me. Jackson on the other hand well was acting his age :) He was very shy and didn't want to walk the minute we got there, didn't want to wear his corsage, he didn't like the pillow he was supposed to hold and wanted a Lolly-pop before he even walked down the isle. Hello, can you say COCKTAILS for mommy & daddy!!! After working and negotiating with the "talent" he ended up walking down isle with pillow in one hand and Lolly pop in other. He did a great job and even gave Steve a high five when he got to the end....Whew!! Jackson had a great time exploring outside and wanted to play in the dirt and pick flowers outside...again acting his age :)

Here are some pictures from the wedding...Later that evening we found out the poor guy was cutting his 2 year old molars so that explains why he wasn't himself....though he has 27 days to get it together for my sissy's wedding :)

Getting his corsage on...so sweet holding onto the florist
