I'm a crawler!

This video was taken 3 weeks ago. Though not the most graceful Jackson learned to crawl a day before he turned 7 months, not to shabby! Practice makes perfect he is much faster now!!

Look at me!

We caught these the other day......yes he is starting to "pull up" and yes it scares the hell out of me!!! He is one strong, stubborn, determined little boy. Not sure who he gets that from, lol!

Sleepy-ville

Jackson is such a happy and social baby sometimes he hates to take a nap or go to sleep, afraid he might miss something! As a baby, I am told I was the same way! In fact in many ways that is still true.....we don't want to miss a thing!! My mom made up a song to sing to Jackson when he was a few weeks old about a place called "Sleepy-ville". She assures him that all of his toys and friends will be in sleepy-ville, too. Silly, yes but so effective. He loves it..... we still sing it to him today! Though between my mom, Nic and I the lyrics are all a little different, lol! Here are some pictures from Sleepy-ville! Nighty-night Jackson :-) Also I posted two other new blogs about the zoo and baby food.....check them out!

Baby Food

On Thursday, Jackson was given the green light to start solid foods. Our doctor took a more conservative view on solid food making us wait until 7 months. We were so excited to let Jackson have a "taste" of the good life. Nic and I both share the same viewpoint about baby food. We want Jackson to be feed organic unprocessed food as much a possible and we want to make the majority of the food he eats. We headed off to our FAVORITE store Williams Sonoma and bought Jackson his first present from us. A Beaba Babycook, this machine is AWESOME. Though a little pricey at $150.00 although a jar of store bought baby food is $.75, hopefully this machine will pay for itself down the road. Not to mention it gives us the control of knowing what we are feeding Jackson. It allows you to steam, and puree baby food in one little machine. Plus you can defrost the frozen solids in it too. We were so excited to make Jackson his first meal of organic sweet potatoes. Needless to say it was a complete success! Jackson loved it and was able to keep his bib and white onesie spotless......no spills, no spitting he just wanted to eat! We are going to move pretty slow in introducing new foods. Our doctor advised us that it is important to teach him how to eat not so much variety.....so we plan on introducing avocado's and banana's in the next few months......So far 3 great meals and no signs of an allergy, YAY!! Bon Appetite!
