2 year old pictures

Back in January I took Jackson to get his 2 year old pictures taken. At first he was acting so silly and acted like he had never taken a picture before....trust me this kid has been well photographed! Eventually we got a couple good ones.....oh I miss the days when photo-days were fun. Jackson is so curious and wants to play with everything new in sight! We had fun though....I broke out in a sweat from jumping and crawling around after him. Here are a few to enjoy!

Learning to Ski

Since Jackson is too young for "ski school" this year.....we decided to try & teach him how to ski. Much like swimming lessons, learning to ski at this age. is more about getting him comfortable and feeling safe. We went ahead and bought skis since we want this to be more than a one time occurrence. He did GREAT!! He was very good about listening to our directions and was learned how to distribute his weight on the skis. Before we left I had shown him some youtube videos to explain to him what skiing is (he loved to watch the kids ski!)
He took a few tumbles but got up laughing and wanting to keep going. We took our cues from him and tried to give him lots of breaks and playtime in between runs. Hopefully we will get him up at least a few more times this season. Tahoe Trip

This last weekend we spent in Lake Tahoe. Nic's mom has a friend who has a cabin in Kings Beach. We use the word "cabin" loosely as it is an amazing place with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery! We went up on Thursday and had a blast relaxing, eating and of course plenty of game playing. The weather was fabulous...highs in the 50's. Nic was a little disappointed with the lack of fresh snow, but it was nice to not have to deal with chains and freezing conditons. Even though the snow is beautiful...I prefer sand & sun!!

GOAL!!!

Last weekend we took advantage of a beautiful Sunday by setting up Jackson's soccer goal. He got this for his birthday from Uncle Keith & Auntie Heidi.


As you can see he had a blast playing with it. Daddy had fun showing Jackson some of his soccer moves too. It just amazes me how Jackson is always ready to try something new! Enjoy the pictures! Only two more years til he can play on a team :)
