This past week Jackson got to try rice cereal. He loved it and did very well eating from a spoon. He opens his mouth like a baby bird and squeals with delight! Our baby is getting so big! These milestones are so exciting for all three of us......Yumo!

Story Time
Jackson has quite a library of books already (but he can always use more!) Hopefully when he gets a little older we can start a tradition that my parents did with my sister and I. They called it bath, book and bed, obviously its pretty self explanatory. It wasn't until I became a parent that I realize how great your day was if it could end like this!! Here are some pictures from story time from this weekend. I love the one where Jackson is folding his hands. I think he is going to be a good student one day!
12 weeks
On Tuesday Jackson will be 12 weeks! Time has really flown by these past couple months. Especially now that the weather is warming up, we love spending time outside. On Friday Jackson reached another milestone as he rolled over for the first time! I think it scared him but he has done it two other times since Friday.
Backyard Bliss
We are so lucky to live in a beautiful area. We took full advantage of this beautiful weekend. On Saturday we went on a scenic walk at Lake Calaero. The views of the sierra were gorgeous and the water was so serene.
The next day we went with my parents to hike down by the Consumes River. There is only a short window that you can hike down by the river as rattlesnakes run rampant toward the end of the spring. Jackson loves to be outside and prefers being in the Baby Bjorn over the stroller. He is finally big enough to face out, he reminded me of a tandem para shooter with Nic. It amazes me that we don't have to leave the gates to reach any of these places as they are in our backyard. Rancho Murieta is a community filled with great people and has so many places to walk and explore. We are truly blessed to be raising Jackson in such a wonderful place.
