Baptism

Jackson was Baptized at St. Vincent De Paul on Saturday April 18th. This church is located in Rancho Murieta and was the same church where we were married on September 10th 2005. My sister Kelli and Nic's Uncle Wyly were chosen to be Jackson's Godparents. It was a great day!

Easter Weekend

Sorry for all you followers out there.......I know it's been awhile but I have plenty of photos to post. On Saturday April 11, we went to the Rancho Murieta Easter Egg Hunt. It was great fun! They had 4 authors who were signing their books, so we added to Jackson's growing library with the Lynn E. Hazen book: Buzz Bumble to the Rescue. They also had a petting zoo, pictures with the Easter Bunny and of course the egg hunt. Jackson had a great time and was able to palm his Easter Egg.......a future basketball player?????




On Sunday we went to the Anderson Easter. As always it was so much fun. My aunt and uncle have a spectacular yard with plenty of good hiding places. The kids under 15 hunted for candy while all the older cousins hunted eggs with cards for our annual Poker Egg hunt. I came in second....not to shabby! Also it was followed by the egg or should I say raw egg toss. The first round was couples....the highlight was my Aunt Michele showering my Uncle Gregg in egg! The next round was teams of your choice, my cousin Josh and Uncle Gregg won last year and defended their title again with another win! Of course the best part of the day was the announcement of my cousin Jason's engagement to his beautiful girlfriend Megan. Megan is such a great girl and we are so lucky to have her "officially" join our family!! Congrats to both of you!

Another Busy Weekend

Last weekend Nic's Aunts from Florida and San Diego came to visit. We had a great time on Saturday. We showed them around Rancho Murieta. We went to the river, the lake and even were able to show them the many deer we have living around us. Nic got a new camera and it is such a "dad" camera, complete with a strap around the neck. It has an awesome zoom and he took some great pictures of all our wildlife up here. My mom and Nic cooked dinner for everyone Saturday night. Nic even made homemade cheese! We had a great time visiting with everyone!!

Rookie Mom Mistake

Rookie Mom: Not having a diaper bag stocked to anticipate ALL the things that baby could need, spit up, poop or pee on.

All Star Mom: Having a diaper bag stocked with extra things to share with rookie mom when they forget or not have enough things packed in bag.

Oh the days when a "blow out" was such a good thing!!!

Jackson's Room

Jackson has been sleeping in his own room for almost 3 weeks. He is doing great and Nic and I have been sleeping much better! Although I was a little tired yesterday morning, I turned off the monitor thinking it was our alarm clock. It took me a second to realize that was my baby crying and shutting off the monitor is not going to make him stop! Mommy's wishful thinking :-) Here are some pictures of Jackson playing in his room.
