San Diego

We went to San Diego for Memorial Day weekend. We had a great time and even got to rest and relax too! We got to meet up with our friends JJ and Casey. They have a little boy Jake is 5 weeks older than Jackson. We took the boys to a beautiful playground in Mission Beach....man if our playgrounds looked like this in Rancho Murieta....I would be there ALL the time! They were amazing. We also were able to squeeze in some beach time as well as a trip to the Wild Animal Park. Here are some of the pictures from our trip!

Traveling with an 18 month old is fun, fun FUN!!

We had a 20 minute delay on the runway....thank goodness for lollypops!!

It's been awhile....

Were back!! The last part of May, and most of June has been especially crazy for us...but here it is better late than never! Look for a few different blog posts as we have been busy, busy!!

Jackson is now 18 months and I love him more and more everyday. I often call him my "best friend" we spend all our time together, he makes me laugh and I enjoy spending every minute with him. I feel so blessed that I get to be his mommy and stay home with him....Life is good!

Daddy was able to join us for class!!

Touch your toes and smell your belly!! He loves be on the beam...doing his routine with Ms. Cindy

-Sleeping 12+ hours a night and is a breeze to put to bed! Still has a 2 hour nap in afternoon, yay!!
-Love to EAT anything!! This kids favorites are blueberries, brown rice cakes, hummus, Jamba juice smoothies, artichokes and asparagus.
-Is starting to talk more clear....though still shy with words in public. At home we hear, "I do it" a lot as well as mom, dad, dog, no, hi, ball, shoe and a few others
-Don't have his 18 month appt til July but right now he weighs 27.2 lbs, not sure of his height.
-In most 2T clothing and wears a 6.5 wide shoe.
-Loves his Tigger...thankfully Tigger stays in crib when Jackson gets out in the morning
-Just discovered Barney on Netflix....mommy gets a nice long shower and Jack is entertained for a few minutes
- He loves to help press the buttons on microwave, turn off lights or fans...basically anything that "big kids" do.
-Loves to brush his teeth...will stand by the counter using the signs "more please mom" to brush his teeth.
-Has become more affectionate with us....gives our legs hugs and asked to be held. He loves to sit on our laps and read books.

I can't believe he is an official toddler!! Happy 18 months Jackson!

Disneyland Trip

This last weekend we went to Disneyland. This was Jackson's second trip and on Saturday I turned 30!! We had so much fun! My parents aka: Mimi and Poppa came too. It had been 15 years since they last went, needless to say they had a blast. Thankfully my dad was able to get a huge suv, we had no problem loading it up. Jackson is a great traveler, but definitely doesn't travel light. He was such a good boy driving in the car....however I take a little bit of credit for this..as I bought some new toys for him to play with and packed plenty of yummy snacks.

Gotta love the "classic Disney D"

He said, "whoaaaaa" when he walked up to Lightning McQueen

Waiting for the Playhouse Disney Show

On the Casey Jr. Train.

Daddy & Jackson on Roger Rabbit

Waiting for Mimi & Poppa outside Splash Mountain

We love Pluto!

Loving the Carousel

Jackson's first ride was The Haunted Mansion....he rode with my parents and was mesmerized at all the cool stuff. He LOVED ToonTown and of course Fantasyland. He rode on everything and never cried or acted scared just held onto the bars. I was a little nervous about him meeting the characters....not a problem. In fact he ran up to Pluto (the first one we saw) and gave him a high five and a kiss....he is so social and loves to be the center of attention (not sure who he got that from!!!)

Grandpa & Jackson

Taking a cat nap in the Ergo (a lifesaver, I LOVE my Ergo!!)

He is such a happy, silly and sweet boy. He loved the Playhouse Disney show and loved to wave at the many kids running around the park. In California Adventure he was "flirting" with one of the workers. Two minutes later she showed up with a giant, fresh Mickey sourdough bread for Jackson. They have a Boudin exhibit at California. How sweet was that!?!?? We thanked her and Jackson blew her a beso.....I love Disney Magic!!

Perhaps the most memorable moment was when Jackson saw his beloved Tig-tig (Tigger), he waited patiently to meet Tigger, just waving and laughing in line. When the big moment came he went in for a big kiss and was so excited to meet Tigger. Everyone in line was commenting on how sweet he was and strangers were taking pictures of this magical moment. After we went into Pooh's corner and he got to pick out a Tigger!

Waiting patiently for Tigger

Hey Tigger!!

Loves his new Tigger

Our trip was wonderful and I am so glad that my parents were able to come with us....besides after having a baby I now feel so different about birthdays. The day Jackson was born was one I will never forget, so what better way to spend my 30th birthday than with the people who were there that special day!! It was so nice having the extra help, Nic and I were able to ride many rides together which was a change from September. I am looking forward to many, many more trips in the future. Thanks for a great time Mickey!!!

M*I*C*K*E*Y............almost time!!

Most of you already know that I turn the BIG 30 on Saturday. Nic asked me what I wanted to do; limo & wine tasting, bar hopping with friends in Sac....I thought long and hard and answered DISNEYLAND!!!!!! I am so excited! Yes we were just there in September, but if you know me, you know I am a Disney-lover!! Except this time we are going with Mimi and Poppa too!! Yes all five of us are getting ready for a magical trip. I am a little bummed my sister can't make it..alas there will be plenty of trips in our future. I can't wait to post our fun pictures! But first I wanted to share a video of Action-Jackson (yep that nickname seems to be spot on these days!!) we took this two weekends ago...and think it's just hilarious! We hope you enjoy it!
