Disneyland Trip

This last weekend we went to Disneyland. This was Jackson's second trip and on Saturday I turned 30!! We had so much fun! My parents aka: Mimi and Poppa came too. It had been 15 years since they last went, needless to say they had a blast. Thankfully my dad was able to get a huge suv, we had no problem loading it up. Jackson is a great traveler, but definitely doesn't travel light. He was such a good boy driving in the car....however I take a little bit of credit for this..as I bought some new toys for him to play with and packed plenty of yummy snacks.

Gotta love the "classic Disney D"

He said, "whoaaaaa" when he walked up to Lightning McQueen

Waiting for the Playhouse Disney Show

On the Casey Jr. Train.

Mommy & Jack-Jack

Daddy & Jackson on Roger Rabbit

Waiting for Mimi & Poppa outside Splash Mountain

We love Pluto!

Loving the Carousel

Jackson's first ride was The Haunted Mansion....he rode with my parents and was mesmerized at all the cool stuff. He LOVED ToonTown and of course Fantasyland. He rode on everything and never cried or acted scared just held onto the bars. I was a little nervous about him meeting the characters....not a problem. In fact he ran up to Pluto (the first one we saw) and gave him a high five and a kiss....he is so social and loves to be the center of attention (not sure who he got that from!!!)

Grandpa & Jackson

Taking a cat nap in the Ergo (a lifesaver, I LOVE my Ergo!!)

He is such a happy, silly and sweet boy. He loved the Playhouse Disney show and loved to wave at the many kids running around the park. In California Adventure he was "flirting" with one of the workers. Two minutes later she showed up with a giant, fresh Mickey sourdough bread for Jackson. They have a Boudin exhibit at California. How sweet was that!?!?? We thanked her and Jackson blew her a beso.....I love Disney Magic!!

Perhaps the most memorable moment was when Jackson saw his beloved Tig-tig (Tigger), he waited patiently to meet Tigger, just waving and laughing in line. When the big moment came he went in for a big kiss and was so excited to meet Tigger. Everyone in line was commenting on how sweet he was and strangers were taking pictures of this magical moment. After we went into Pooh's corner and he got to pick out a Tigger!

Waiting patiently for Tigger

Hey Tigger!!

Loves his new Tigger

Our trip was wonderful and I am so glad that my parents were able to come with us....besides after having a baby I now feel so different about birthdays. The day Jackson was born was one I will never forget, so what better way to spend my 30th birthday than with the people who were there that special day!! It was so nice having the extra help, Nic and I were able to ride many rides together which was a change from September. I am looking forward to many, many more trips in the future. Thanks for a great time Mickey!!!

M*I*C*K*E*Y............almost time!!

Most of you already know that I turn the BIG 30 on Saturday. Nic asked me what I wanted to do; limo & wine tasting, bar hopping with friends in Sac....I thought long and hard and answered DISNEYLAND!!!!!! I am so excited! Yes we were just there in September, but if you know me, you know I am a Disney-lover!! Except this time we are going with Mimi and Poppa too!! Yes all five of us are getting ready for a magical trip. I am a little bummed my sister can't make it..alas there will be plenty of trips in our future. I can't wait to post our fun pictures! But first I wanted to share a video of Action-Jackson (yep that nickname seems to be spot on these days!!) we took this two weekends ago...and think it's just hilarious! We hope you enjoy it!

16 Months.....sigh :(

Wow has time just flown by....my little man is 16 months!!

He is so smart and such a joy to be around, he makes everyone around him smile (even strangers at the grocery store). I am just so thankful to have the best, most rewarding and fun job in the world!! Here is what Jackson has been doing at 16 months:

-Went to the doctor he weighs...26.2 lbs a whopping 75% for his age (the biggest yet!) usually he hangs out in the 50-60%. His height is 33 inches which puts him in the 92% percentile....he has always been in this percentile since birth....and his small head is 18 1/2 inches which is the 44% again where he has been since birth. The doctor gave him an A+ (his words not mine!) and was very happy he was still following his "growth pattern". We were excited to see Dr. Budd again, the last time was Jackson's 2 week check up.....he was filling in for Dr. Lloren while he took a much deserved vacation.

-Jackson is such a good sleeper still sleeping about 12-14 hours a night and has been doing this since he was 7 months! We are officially down to ONE nap for 2 hours in the afternoon.

-He is saying a few words: dad, momma, dog, bird, no, yes, what, and a few others we have yet to de-code :) He is also a doing GREAT with sign language....I am so happy we are doing this with him....he can sign, more, yes, no, please, thank you, dog, cat, cow, bird, toys, water, food, eat, where, what, sleep, outside, book, open and close.

- 6 teeth....but more are coming. His gums are starting to get bulgy and white. He loves to brush his teeth

- Loves to wave hi to people in the store and blow kisses

- Loves to hug and kiss Mya Sue....who is the SWEETEST dog ever!!

- Enjoys reading books both by himself and with us.

- Not a picky eater....some of his favorites are hummus, pita, banana, applesauce, frozen peas, blueberries, pears, noodles, rice, graham crackers and grapefruit (strange but he loves it!) He is even drinking Almond milk and loves that too!! We still are not introducing any dairy or soy products yet....

-Loves to work outside with daddy

-His favorite toys are anything that is not a "toy" flashlights, brooms, tupperware...you get the idea. He also loves balls, ping pong, wiffle, soccer and of course golf balls.

-He loves to watch the golfers from our patio upstairs.

-Is officially a RUNNER.....yep a wise mommy told me, "it's not the walking but the running that will get you!" So true!! Though its good cardio for me :)

-Loves music....any music and loves to dance!!

- Still going to The Little Gym....we are going to take a break for the summer so we can do swim lessons but plan to enroll in the Fall semester at the Little Gym.

- Loves to play in our closet and go on golf cart rides

- His eyes still haven't decided on a color still blue, green gray color

-Not much hair but starting to grow more ( I was pretty much bald til I was 3!!)

- Having more "mini tantrums" but those are getting shorter and fewer as he realizes that is not going to work with us.

-Still has his "lovey" Tigger.

-Can point to his...belly, hair, eyes, eye lashes, toes, chin. ear and knees!

Jackson is such a fun kid....yes he is busy and oh so curious but is still a cuddle bug too! We are so blessed to have such a cool little kid. We thank God every day for the healthy, beautiful, sweet little boy that we are so lucky to call our son.

We love you Jackson!!
